Friends' Visit to KL - Day 3

Its been awhile since I last posted the last post - Day 2. Mainly because life has been very cruel to me with many assignments and homeworks and tests.. Argghhh!! So annoying.. The worst part is when I found out the first day of the A2 exam is on my birthday..!! So much for this year's birthday..><"

Anyways let's skip the complaining. This post is mainly about my friends last day in KL and not my place to ramble on about irrelevant stuffs. So here it is, my friends' 3rd day visit, which is also the last day of visit to KL.

At first we weren't so keen to meet again on the 3rd day. Mainly because Jason & Eric doesn't know what time will they be leaving. Besides, they left the 'keropok' I gave them the day before in my car. So yeah, that's why we decided to meet up again.

My brother - Matt has to stay back at school for that day. That's because our college is having an ECA Drive where He's in charge of the badminton club booth. I wanted to stay back and watch, but because of the planned schedule I couldn't. Besides, that was also the day I had to skipped class to rush back home so I can collect the badminton club's poster that Matt apparently forgotten. Hmph~!! How irresponsible an older brother can be..!!

But that's out of topic, back to story. So I left the ECA Drive, without experiencing it - for the 2ND most friggin' time..!! And driving myself to Kelana Jaya LRT station. Took the LRT alone (good thing there wasn't many people on board). But as each station passes, the crowd gets bigger and bigger. Thank God my stop was Dang Wangi, which by the time I reached there, there still weren't many people. Ahhh.. Love the Dang Wangi station. Not only that station is underground, that station is also a pretty peaceful place. You won't feel the daily rush of the crowd..=]

So I met Jason and Eric, sitting on the floor near the ticketing station waiting for me. Haiz.. Pity them.. They must have waited long. But what can I do? Putting that aside, we decided to head for KLCC. Haha, awesome right? That was my first time there^^. We took the LRT again straight to KLCC station. We don't even have to walk far. But I can't say I like the place very much though. There's already a whole bunch of crowd that were already there when we arrived. Talk about inconvenience..==" Did alot of sequeezin and searching for each other at that time.

So we arrived at Suria KLCC station. Went for late-lunch at a Japanese restaurant that Jason picked. Like omg, the food there is terribly expensive. Not to mention not very tasty. ><" I wasn't very hungry that day (don't know why), thus I did not order anything but shared a set of some steak meal with Jason. But believe me, what we ate wasn't steak as in beef steak, but fish steak. Dx Sad to say, I wouldn't recommend that place for anybody. Next time I'll be at sakae sushi if I'm gonna have Japanese food.
[picture: Eric's food came first. Looks delicious, no? But awfully expensive. xD
  • [picture: gosh Eric. Seeing you eat got me reminded how you suffered so much by stuffing yourself.]
So we spent our time talking alot, even after our so-called lunch. We decided to gang out at a very huge bookstore known as 'Kinokuniya' at KLCC. Walking around in 'Kinokuniya' is amazing. It's like the greatest bookstore ever!! The size itself is breath-taking. Nontheless, I found my architecture magazines and books upstairs. Exclusively stored for architecture books only. Haha, love it. So many books to see, so little time. But all the books are wrapped up, so you are required to buy them before reading anyways. What a bummer.. I find that bookstore a good place to search for reference books. Many stuffs can be found there. That's why its amazing. Too bad too little photos are taken, or else I'll be able to show how big that place is.

Matt finishes his duty at around 5pm. That's when the ECA Drive at our college officially ended. His friend - Noman dropped him off at KLCC on his way back home. And that's where we meet up. After taking Matt for his late lunch as well, we left for Jason and Eric's hotel - Tune Hotel downtown to help prepare them before they leave. Since they haven't bought their tickets, we have to be at the bus station as early as possible to get them a nice ticket. To get there, the bus station which is located temporarily in Jalan Duta, we had to take a taxi there. So we got to their hotel. Waited for them to collect their luggages from the Hotel's locker while resting under the air-cond from the hot day and long walks. Finally we caught a taxi which brought us to Jalan Duta Bus Terminal.

The taxi driver is a talkative guy. Gave us alot of insights on KL, both good and bad. Good as in the interesting places to visit like the national library (My God, that place is HUGE). And bad as in night clubs and other night life kinda stuff. Gee, I'd rather hang out at Times Square until its closing time rather than going to all these places. I'll only go there if neccessary and at that time, it wouldn't be fun. I'm such a conservative person..==" So yeah, having that said, reached the bus terminal around 6.45pm. Not bad for arrival time but made bad because of the waiting. Don't get it? Just let me continue for a moment then you'll understand.
Like I said, we reached there at around 6.45pm. After a loooooong serious debate about which bus we should get, Jason bought the 7.30pm bus ticket for himself and Eric. Yeah, 7.30pm, sounds contradicting to what I said earlier right? Hold on to your horses. Oh yeah, I didn't mention Matt met his 5s6 classmate there as well. He was totally overjoyed when he met Kok Lip.

It sounds reassuring that the bus will arrive at 7.30pm and they won't have to wait long. They'll reach Penang even before the clock strucks midnight if they take that bus back. Haha, we were sooo wrong. We waited for a VERY VERY VERY long time until the bus arrives. But no one announce for that bus' passengers to be prepared for departure to Penang. We just waited silently, not knowing that the bus was already boarding. Our naivity got the better of us. Reasons for us, except Jason, is mainly because its out first time taking bus rides like this. So yeah, even after the bus left we are still waiting, like anyone could have predicted. Haha.

Eric was the first one to notice the bus exitting the front gate to the bus terminal. It was too late though. Before they registered that they've missed the bus, the bus already left. And at that time it was about 8.30pm already. Yeah, long wait, like I said. The person whom they got their tickets from insist they get on another bus leaving for Penang, which we don't know what time it arrives. More waiting was done of course. But this time we'e directed to the bus platform to wait. So we're able to see the bus' arrival. I'm not exactly sure what time the bus arrives though. Matt and I have to leave earlier because it was already late. In order to make it to the LRT station before closing time, Matt and I were forced to leave, which at that time was around 8.45pm. So we bid our goodbyes and Matt paid for the taxi to bring us to the KL Central terminal. There we took the LRT home to Kelana Jaya station.

Not much were said nor done except I smsed Eric to give me a notice when their bus arrives. So we reached Kelana Jaya station at around 9.30pm. Just as we arrived at the station, Eric sent me my sms reply saying he and Jason already got on the bus and ready to leave. I was glad, at least they don't have to wait long for the bus to arrive. Though they may have reached Penang way past midnight hour. Its a relief knowing that they are okay. So we drove back home and did a little facebooking before going to sleep la. Was supposed to do some prank calls but my phone went dead. So is Matt's. Haha.. Well, I'm just happy that day went out well. Around 2am in the morning Eric smsed me to say that He and Jason arrived at Penang already. A perfect end to a not so perfect day afterall. =]
