It has been such a long time since I've posted anything new on this blog of mine. Over the past few weeks since my last post many things happened but I just wasn't too keen on writing it on my blog journal. And that's my bad..The blog is entitled 'Footprints in the Sand' for a significant reason. For every step we take, a footprint is left behind. In a sense, everything that happened in the year 2010 becomes like a footprint - a memory of which reminded me that I've passed this stage of life, and that gives me a sense of accomplishment. A job worth saying 'Well done!'
I kinda like to congratulate myself, even for a small accomplishment insignificant to normal occurences. Don't ask why, I just do. :D
For the past few days my church had their annual Christmas Presentation. It has been going on every year during Christmas and I would never miss it for the world! It was truly awesome every year and you people have my word on that. :)
As long as I can remember. The Presentation starts out with 'Heaven's Gate and Hell's Flame'. I wouldn't say it was bad in a sense because it speaks truth. But being really young at that time always get me frightened and gave me that sudden self-awareness of everything I do. Besides, according to my aunt, the support for the presentation at that time wasn't very encouraging. I bet it was because no one wants to be reminded of going to hell for sinning huh?! Oh well.. You know yourself the best. So I'll shaddap now. :)
Oh.. And then there's the 'Psalty' the singing bible. Oh God, how I love that one. It was just a few years after the previous Presentation but it was directed mainly for kids.(If my hunch is right, because Psalty is indeed a kid's bible). I guess I was around primary school age at that time. And Psalty is popular among peers of my age. We'll have bibles and stationaries for Sunday Services all Psalty branded and it was deemed 'cool' at that time :D. How innocent of us! But back to the main topic. Like I said, the Presentation was mainly directed for kids entertainment and my bet was the adults find it hard to keep track of the Presentation or rather they take it as a kids show. So as anyone could have guessed, the support for the Presentation wasn't too good either but it improved a good deal from the previous ones, after much prayer and fasting. The Presentation finally bloomed when they released the first Baba Nyonya themed Presentation entitled 'The Matriach'. It was totally awesome! There are dances between the drama, which makes the entire performance more interesting. And that was when I'm already in High school (Form 2 if I remembered correctly, which means in the year 2005). I did not join the presentation at that time but I was overwhelmed by the response received by the church. And yet the performance improved from there. For the sake of my satisfaction, I'll try and remember the other dramas from then on:
- The Matriach II (2006)
- The Great Exchange (2007)- The Matriach III (2008)
- The Matriach IV (2009)
- Day of Destiny (2010)
All dramas are successful and all were awesome! And best of all, I was part of it in 2 out of the 5 listed above. :) My memories were pretty vague of the sequence of the dramas so if any church friends realized any mistakes please notify me and I'll correct it. As for which one I'm in, I'll leave the guessing to you people. That's half the fun of getting it correct! :DI send my congratulations to the cast of this year's performance. It wasn't easy remembering every detail of the drama. Some of my friends missed the drama and its a pity. Its actually the first drama that got my tears running throughout the years of watching these performances every year. I'm really encouraged to get the CD (when its released) and give it to my friends to watch it. A must watch! :) (Just so you know, the new song added to my playlist was actually one of the dance songs. Awesome ain't it?)

Right. So there ends my talk about my church's Christmas Presentation. Moving on to my rants! Hahaha. Epic moment of my life! >:3
Since coming back to Penang I've been able to enjoy the taste of a free, more relaxed environment once again. Unlike the busy roads of KL, Penang is so much calmer. Not to say KL is a bad place, but the taste of having a holiday there and living there for a certain period of time actually differs alot from each other.
That being said, I still can't help but miss my friends in KL. (Khai, Youlin and Chee How!!! I'm so getting the CDs of my church's presentation to you people!! Email me your home addresses and I'll post it to you! xD Lol)
Haha. Got abit overexcited there. Yesh.. I'ma miss you people like ALOT! I owe Khai a Birthday gift and 3 of you a Christmas gift. (Dang! Khai has two gifts now. Perhaps two different pictures of Char Kuey Teow would be good.. Hmm..) I have no idea what to get for you. Come to think of it, I haven't got myself nor my friends not even my family anything this Christmas. But Christmas this year was fun. Had BBQ and Steamboat at my grandma's place. But I was sick at that time, so I didn't really enjoy the meal. Had my share of fun during the preparation of BBQ and steamboat instead. Pretty simple way to celebrate no?Besides, I finally met my primary school friends after so many years. Since most of us parted ways since Std 6, you people had changed alot! And I mean alot! I couldn't recognize some of their faces and forgot some of their names, but I guess they could easily recognize me and Matt. We're the only twins at that time too. Like duhh.. Dumb question to ask.
Anyways, its good to be back in contact after so long. With some of them still in college (those taking diploma) and some that just finished form 6, I must say you people really changed alot since primary 6. Haha. Eng Ho still remained playful like I remembered. Didn't changed since the last time he got me and Wei Yeong whacked in form 1. You ass~~~ He's so gossip efficient its a sin to go against him. LOL! I pity Ching Ying. She got shot by him real bad. Sigh... 黑玫瑰 and 中华的spy. xDThese are a few pictures of our gathering on 29th Dec 2010. Not everyone attended our small gathering though. Went to Queensbay Mall for movie 'Gulliver's Travels' and dinner at a restaurant nearby thereafter. I'll post it the photos I've got here. :)
